Terms of Use

Effective August 4, 2026

What this site is

the-sage.ai presents The Sage, an early-stage software project: a public demonstration built entirely on fictional personas, and a private, invitation-only beta portal. By using the site you accept these terms.

The demos are fictional

Every person appearing in the demos — including Maya Chen, Marcus Webb, Priya Nair, and Dr. Elena Ruiz — is an invented composite. No real client, patient, or clinical record appears anywhere on the public site. Any resemblance to real persons is coincidental.

Not therapy, not medical advice

The Sage is a companion tool for personal reflection and practitioner record-keeping. Nothing on this site is therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or medical or clinical advice, and nothing here creates a therapist–client relationship. The software never makes clinical decisions; those belong to qualified humans. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line now — this website is not the right tool for that moment, and you deserve immediate human support.

Beta accounts

Member accounts are granted by individual invitation, for evaluation of an early product. The service is provided as-is during beta: features may change, and we may suspend or end beta access at our discretion (your data-deletion rights in the Privacy Policy survive that). Keep your credentials private and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to breach, probe, or overload the service; don't try to access accounts or data that aren't yours; don't scrape the site or misrepresent the demos as real clinical data. We may block access that violates these terms.

Intellectual property

The site's design, text, imagery, and software are ours (or licensed to us); the demos may be viewed and shared by link but not copied into other products. The Sage is an independent project — it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by any therapy training organization or institute, and any modality names that may appear in discussion belong to their respective owners.

No warranties; limitation of liability

The site and beta service are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the site or beta service is limited to the amount you paid us for it — which, during the free beta, is zero.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes & contact

We may update these terms as the project matures; the effective date above reflects the current version. Questions: hello@the-sage.ai.

Plain-language terms provided in good faith by an early-stage project. This page will be reviewed by counsel before any commercial launch.
