The Sage← the-sage.aiWe collect almost nothing, and we sell nothing. The public site has no ad trackers and no analytics cookies. The demos are entirely fictional — exploring them sends us no personal data. The private member area is a closed beta for invited users only, and what members create there belongs to them. Nothing on this service is used to train AI models, sold, or shared with advertisers. Ever.
Almost nothing. Browsing the site and demos requires no account and sets no tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Render) keeps standard server logs — IP address, pages requested, timestamps — for security and reliability, retained briefly in the ordinary course of operations. If you email us to request early access, we receive what you send: your email address and whatever you choose to tell us about your practice. We use it only to correspond with you about The Sage, and we'll delete it on request.
The private portal is a closed beta with individually invited accounts. Members sign in with an email and password (passwords are stored only as salted cryptographic hashes — we cannot read them), and a session cookie keeps them signed in; that cookie does no cross-site tracking. Content that members create in the portal — records, notes, messages — is visible only to the specific people that member's space is shared with, by design. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored with our hosting provider in the United States, and is never used to train AI models, aggregated for research, sold, or disclosed to third parties, except where the law genuinely requires it.
The Sage is built so that the most sensitive raw material in a member's work — original journals and transcripts — stays on the member's own device and is never uploaded to us at all. What reaches our servers is a curated surface the member chooses to publish, revocable at any time. We consider this a feature of the design, not a policy promise — but we're happy to promise it too.
Hosting and database: Render (US). Fonts: Google Fonts (loads from Google's servers when pages render). AI processing for members' own records uses Anthropic's API under terms that do not permit training on the data. We don't embed social media widgets, ad networks, or analytics services.
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email works for all three, and for the current scale of this project a human will simply do it. Members may close their account at any time, which removes their content from the service.
The site and service are for adults and are not directed to anyone under 18.
As The Sage grows from a demo into a product, this policy will be revised — materially better-specified, never quietly worse. The effective date above will always tell you when it last changed.
